video and email size restrictions

I like to send short family videos made up with photo camara by email, but I need to resize it to get an acceptable email size without loosing the content. Which program does it, if any?

It depends on what type of video it is. For .avi videos, kino (universe repository) or avidemux (multiverse repository) will help you.

If you are ready to use command line tools, then install mencoder (multiverse repository).
