mysql-client-5.6 metapackages

mysql-client-5.5 provides a number of packages, among those are mysql-client and virtual-mysql-client

mysql-client-5.6 only provides virtual-mysql-client.

If I have mysql-client-5.6 installed and I try to install regular packages like rsyslog-mysql, my 5.6 package is uninstalled and the 5.5 version replaces it.
When I look at the dependencies in rsyslog-mysql, it requires mysql-client and not virtual-mysql-client, which explains my problem.

Is the provides clause wrong in 5.6 or is there a reason not to add the "provides mysql-client" clause into that package?
