Lubuntu installer: possibly broken UEFI in 22.04.2
Hi,
I have a use case with several Notebooks of the same kind (Medion E3223), and had formerly installed Lubuntu with the 22.04.1 install image without problems several times.
I just tried to reinstall one after replacing the SSD with a fresh one (factory empty), but had updated my USB pen drive to the latest 22.04.2 Lubuntu install image. Procedure running well, installation as usual, but after reboot the system did not find a bootable image and went into UEFI shell instead. No way to boot.
I was trying to reset my UEFI bios, and to import and accept the keys from the partition, which worked, but when trying in Secure Boot Mode I get Error messages about a Security Violation, and when turning Secure Boot off, I do not get the Lubuntu partion offered at all for booting.
Unfortunately, I have deleted the 22.04.1 iso image after downloading the .2, and cannot compare with it, since it is not available for download anymore.
But I still had a Xubuntu 22.04.1, and this could be installed and runs well on the same machine.
So my guess is that the UEFI part of the Lubuntu installer is somewhat broken on the 22.04.2 version, while the 22.04.1 was good.
regards
