Logwatch absent in non-x86 architectures

Asked by Josh

Is there a reason why there is no build for logwatch in non-x86 arch's? As it is written in perl, shouldn't one package fit all?

Logically, it should. Report it as a bug against that package.

Actually... are you sure that's the case? packages.ubuntu.com reports this:

Package logwatch

    * hardy (admin): log analyser with nice output written in Perl
      7.3.6-1ubuntu1: all

And I'm able to install logwatch by doing apt:logwatch in firefox.

Thanks. You are, of course, right...in hardy. In Intrepid, there is only a lone i386 package (http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/admin/logwatch) . Is is considered a bug for such an inconsistency to exist in
the development repositories?

I don't know, but I wouldn't worry about it yet. Packages for Ubuntu 8.10
aren't finalized.

Can you help with this problem?
