Ubuntu 8.10 -MSI Wind U100 -wireless
Probably a stupid question, but I am a new user(almost). Just ordered the MSI Wind U100 notebook and am anticipating that I want to use Ubuntu. Noticed from the MSI discussion forums that the that the wireless interface will not work without modifications. I read the Ubuntu docs on the community docs section where it is suggested to compile a driver (wlan0up) to get the wireless to work. This seems to me like a "Catch 22" procedure. How do I download the driver with this script when I can't get the wireless interface to work to download the driver?
Like I say, I must be missing something very rudimentary.
Thanks.
