libreoffice cannot be opened because of access rights

Asked by drskartik

Hi!
I am using ubuntu 14.04 in a Acer netbook.
I am not able to open Libreoffice and get this message:
'libreoffice user installaton cannot be processed because of missing access rights.'
i can open libreoffice as a guest but cannot open any files using that account.
I could find that there is a bug filed under lubuntu for this problem but could not find any solution.

Try:

sudo rm -r ~/.config/libreoffice

Then try again. You possibly have the config owned by root, removing the config then rerunning the application will regenerate the configs
