where to find an IPFilter such as Peer Guardian 2

I am new to Linux and just started using K Torrent in Feisty Fawn 7.04
I would like to know how to set up something like Peer Guardian 2.............K Torrent refers to Peer Guardian and its lists nder the IP Filter section in K Torrents but I have no idea how or where to get it/ them

Any help much appreciated

Linux has a built in ipfilter, which is part of the kernel. You can use "man iptables" for info on usage or install a graphic frontend (for instance firestarter).

I am also new to linux and I have ubuntu on a partition. when I attempted to download the peer guardian file I got the following error msg- "Could not write file /home/ubuntu/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/level1.
Disk full." The partition I used is 35gb and I have used 7.5gb so I have 27.5gb of free space. I love linux so far but this baffles me. ( got the same msg when I attempted to install wine)

You could use moblock and mobloquer as GUI for moblock:

"MoBlock is a linux console application that blocks connections from/to hosts listed in a file in peerguardian format (guarding.p2p). It uses iptables ipqueue userspace library and it is very light in resource usage (cpu, ram).
From version 0.6 it uses by default the new kernel interface netlink_queue through ipt_NFQUEUE kernel module that was added in kernel 2.6.14 that deprecated the old ip_queue/libipq interface." -- http://moblock.berlios.de/

Unfortunately there is no moblock package available in Ubuntu, but you can use the repository from http://moblock-deb.sourceforge.net/ . See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MoBlock for more information.
