Lacking Ralink rt61 support in Gutsy knetworkmanager?

My wireless connection is unstable in the beta-version. It worked for a while, then stopped working, and I had to connect via wired. I read somewhere on launchpad that the problem would be fixed if version 2.0.8 (?) instead of the 2.0.4 - version of the rt2x00 driver was included in the kernel. Will it be included in the kernel for the final Gutsy version?

I dont seem to gat mine working either, but http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Linux.html, supports a sort of patch for it, normaly
The problem is i would still need to boot the total ubuntu again, i hoep somebody knows something where i dont need to do that?
