Cannot add Kile repository on Ubuntu 12.04

When I try to add the Kile repository on Ubuntu 12.04 with

  add-apt-repository ppa:kile/stable

I get following error

  Cannot access PPA (https://launchpad.net/api/1.0/~kile/+archive/stable) to get PPA information, please check your internet connection.

By the way, will Kile work on Ubuntu 12.04 with Gnome?

It seems that the address for the "stable" PPA is not ppa:kile/stable bit ppa:kile/2.1
