Can not Authenticate kflickr: chrome launches Pandora application

Asked by Danny Howard

I have used kflickr for the longest time, but got tired of the "broken" thumbnails, so I tried updating the package.

Now when I launch it needs to "Authenticate New User" and when I go do that it launches Google chrome and directs to the "pandora" application. It is impossible to authenticate!

I told firefox to check if it is the default browser, but it wouldn't say anything. Okay.

I deleted the Pandora application but nada. I'm trying to hunt down instances of "pandora.com" in my config files to see if I can excise this config from my system. There's a bug in here somewhere . . . thanks!

Sincerely,
-daniel

It would be nice if one of the little dialog boxes in here said "if something goes wrong, paste this URL into your web browser."

./.local/share/applications/defaults.list

[Default Applications]
text/html=google-chrome.desktop;chrome-http___www.pandora.com_.desktop
text/xml=firefox.desktop;google-chrome.desktop;chrome-http___www.pandora.com_.desktop
application/xhtml_xml=google-chrome.desktop;chrome-http___www.pandora.com_.desktop

Change to:

[Default Applications]
text/html=google-chrome.desktop
text/xml=firefox.desktop;google-chrome.desktop
application/xhtml_xml=google-chrome.desktop

And we are in!
