What package contains make-kpkg in 20.10?

Asked by Ted

Hello,

I recently upgraded to 20.10 and the upgrade removed the kernel-package package. Usually, I generate modified kernels from the linux-source package using make-kpkg. Is there a preferred alternative to kernel-package in 20.10?

Thank you,
Ted

You can use

Packages.ubuntu.com

To search for files in any supported release of Ubuntu

In Ubuntu releases up to Ubuntu 20.04 the executable file "make-kpkg" is provided by the package "kernel-package", but that package does not exist on Ubuntu 20.10 any more.

(From Debian) ROM; upstream discontinued, obsolete, better options exist; Debian bug https://bugs.debian.org/960377
