cannot extract ace archives

although i have installed unace (i tried also unace non free) package, i cannot open ace archives in ark, it says, it doesn't know this archives

what should i do?

Thanks for the question.

unace is only a commandline tool. It does not have a graphical interface, nor does it work in conjunction with ark.

You can use it by opening a commandline terminal like Konsole. With "man unace" you get the help page that gives you the options how to use the program.
