How to open RAR files?

Hello, I have this software for a short time, so probably I don t know enough, but my ARK is not able to open RAR files. thanks for the help

Hello,

did you installed the package unrar-free , unrar? If not please install these packages and it should work.

Unrar-free can extract files from .rar archives but can't handle some archives in
 the RAR 3.0 format, only the non-free "unrar" package can do that.
Keep also in mind that this is a command line tool, ie. you must use it from a terminal.
Once installed, use "man unrar" or "unrar --help" should provide all the details you need to know to use it.
