11.04, sendmail, kalarm

Hello

Via Synaptic I installed sendmail. In KAlarm I choosed File > New > New Email Alarm. I collected all the necessary data and clicked the button Try. And then I got the following messages:

Error sending email:
The mail transport "sendmail" is not correctly configured.

The preferences of KAlarm are ok.

What can I do to configure sendmail correctly? Thanks in advance.

Sendmail is a bit of a complex beast. You can try postfix:

If you are sure you want to use sendmail, there is some help here, but its all very command-liney:
