kdenlive fails to launch from icon

When I select Kdenlive from the menu I get:
Plasma Desktop Workspace
Plasma Workspace
chdir: no such file or directory

When I use the command line to launch kdenlive it works after the following:
$ kdenlive

I also tested on 3 different installed systems and was unable to reproduce. And considering this is a bug tracker and not for suppport:

For diagnostic purposes please provide the output that you receive for the following commands:

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
sudo dpkg --audit
apt policy kdenlive
ls -ld /usr/share/mlt-7/profiles
ls -ld /usr/bin/melt
ls -l /usr/share/hspell/heb*
sudo apt install --reinstall hspell

Has this caused any difference in behaviour when starting it from the menu icon or from command line?

The problem was from the menu icon. I have found that the menu icon was from a previous version and I have used the K menu Kdenlive to replace the icon on my desktop. It is now working perfectly and launches without a problem.

I must say that I am embarrassed by overlooking this icon error and so sorry that I have put you through all this hassle.
