wifi is dropping out in standby 14.04

Asked by doctor1

There are times, not always, that when I put my laptop into standby mode, my wifi connection goes inactive. Then, when I log back in, and wifi connection to my wap is gone, I can find no means to re-enable it within the gui. I have to go to the user menu and restart the box in order to regain my connection. Anybody know how to fix this; perhaps with a terminal command?
Thanks
