Unable to add language to ktuberling (potato guy) in Gnome

Asked by Nils

I have just installed ktuberling that comes with the edubuntu package. It seems there should be the option of selecting a different language in addition to American English. To make this more educational I would like to add German but although this seems to be a KDE based application (which is popular in Germany) I just can't find any language packs in the repositories nor anywhere else.

I'm running Ubuntu Karmic as 32 and 64 bit versions (as well as Qimo/Xubuntu and B1 Lucid 64).

It does seem to exist for "conectiva linux": http://www.rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/conectiva/10/i386/RPMS.extras/ktuberling-help-de-3.3.2-62359U10_1cl.noarch.html

There is apparently a way of recording your own words and saving them but I don't even have a microphone although I would love to contribute some high German.

Thanks much for your help and advice!
Nils

You should either contact uptream devs and request they make a language pack deb or file a 'needs packaging' bug.
