installation stops at 82%

when installing kubuntu or ubuntu 7.10. The Installation stops, or freeze when it gets to
82%. During the Confiquration of APT in scanning the mirror phase.
 Gateway 552G / intel 4 / 512 mb / 200 GB 7200rpm serial ATA (SATA) HD
I'am using the whole drive for the installing.
Need help. T>Y>V>M

This installation is being from from a cd contianing the file [ Ubuntu 7,10 Desktop i386.iso.]

My experience is that it is not hanging but just takes a looooong time, may be because of the busy network servers/mirrors etc..

Can you help with this problem?
