I am unable to use TorK client and need help troubleshooting it.

Asked by Solidarity

I recently converted from Windows to Linux and Ubuntu 9.10 is my first installation. Everything works fine, including the internet connection, but so far I have failed to setup the TorK client.

I went through the First-time wizard to configure TorK, installing Tor and Privoxy, but when I push the play button in the client's GUI nothing happens.

I need someone to guide me through my TorK configuration so I can use it with Firefox.

Thanks

I would recommend you to use Vidalia instead of TorK.

Vidalia has a nice interface written in QT and, by using the configuration settings, you can have a script that starts privoxy everytime the tor connection is established. From there you can use foxyproxy in firefox to manage your proxy settings.
