How to re-install KUBUNTU
I installed UBUNTU 9.4 and then installed KDE and then updated KUBUNTU. Everything worked on KUBUNTU before the update. After that the keyboard no longer functioned. My tech support person told me that the Kernel is wrong that I must remove and re-install KUBUNTU from a CD. I am using that CD as a live copy of KUBUNTU to write this question. (Although I can open my installed KUBUNTU using my mouse, I can not use my keyboard to write this question nor to enter my password when requested.
QUESTION #1: Is the keyboard disconnect, caused after updates, a KUBUNTU system bug that can be retroactively fixed?
QUESTION #2: If a useful solution to this problem is the removal of what I have done and the subsequent installation from this live CD is prudent, then HOW DO I UN-INSTALL KUBUNTU in the existing partition (approximately 50 GiB) ?
