Not able to play DVD contents that are copied to hard disk in Kaffeine, MPlayer, gXine

Sir,
I have a DVD movie in my hard disk,.
Kaffeine :
I downloaded the Kaffeine for playing the content ... But there was an error... Its

MPlayer :
So I downloaded the MPlayer , but it too reported an error....

Fatal error Opening/initialising the selected video_out(-vo) device....

gXine :
So I downloaded the gXine . The error was

No demuxer found - stream format not recognised.

Can any one help me?
I dont know what to do now........

dear sir,

it comes to my understanding due to copywrite gray area law that dvd playback is only limited to thoes software makers whom include the plug-in for that use. VLC has it and i have had no issues playing back even imaged disks of dvds from my hard disk while in linux. so please give that a try or if you are still wanting to use the other software look for the dvd library. I hope this helps.
