k9copy not creating iso file in gnome intrepid

Asked by Kev

hi all
I see there is an issue with k9copy 2.0.2 at the moment that does not create an iso file. Just wondering if there is a work around yet.... there are lots of threads about it but no solutions.... if there is one I am sure it will be found here.
My specs. Updated hardy to intrepid gnome not kde ... and yes I think all codecs have been loaded...
K9 seems to go through the motions and creates a file with AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS but no iso file of the item being made. any ideas would be appreciated.
thanks

Hi Kev!

The answer is simple. Do not leave spaces between the title words or type an underscore between each word. It seem to have worked for me.

Cheers

I must be missing fundimental here... I have used dvdshrink before and this is meant to be as easy as that????? all I get is the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS and a temp file ... no iso... no option for iso..
the last screen where it asks for a "save image to" location?? I specify a location but it seems to want a name???
I must be missing something here......

I have the sata dvd burner drive working in Hardy and k9copy... not sure what did it but 2 things I have done this week.
1. I flashed my motherboard with the newest flashy stuff from the manufacturer. So that is now up to date, seems the hard drive is not so fussy now too.
2. Nice clean install of hardy with a super 1 sudo install command from terminal that I made up.. This like codecs and other programs i use all the time. So instead to taking me a day or two it happens all at once... love terminal commands once you know what you are doing.

So Flash motherboard if you can ( at own risk) and that might do it...

A little later that day

Ok I can confirm that this was MY solution... hope it helps others...
I can now back up our dvd's and have spaces in the title save as.... yes SPACES..... SO do not rely on computer stores to supply you a new machine with up to date flashed Motherboards, even burning the iso had NO issues... Happy Christmas everyone!!!

Flashed my motherboard and all seems great now... installed a clean copy of intrepid and no install errors and so far the sata stuff is behaving.. happy boy.... but the k9copy version in Intrepid does not like spaces in the save as section hopefully it will be fixed soon one would think it would take the name of the dvd and insert it at the save as section by default like dvdshrink...
