iso image is where?

Binary package hint: k3b

new and troubled already. I tried to find the iso image it was talking about to add in order to write the CD. And... I could not find it within the download (of the newest so far) Ubuntu. The other problem is that I have the Vista tech to see all the patricians to create it and was able to shrink it. BUT!!! I fail to see what this does because I am an illiterate who does not understand the self-setup of the dual-booting ubuntu.

(Sidenote: Does anyone know how to get rid of the folder [BOOT] that I accidentally loaded to my desktop? The folder is empty but will not go away!)

Here the supported release of ubuntu:

http://www.ubuntu.com/products/ubuntu/release-cycle

You have basically 2 choices:

The latest Ubuntu 9.10 http://releases.ubuntu.com/9.10/
Ubuntu 8.04 ( now 8.04.3 ) Long Term Supported release http://releases.ubuntu.com/8.04/

In short the steps to install Ubuntu:
- Backup your home directory and any relevant data (always a good choice)
- Download the iso image (see above)
- Verify the md5sum of the dowloaded image and compare with the official MD5SUMS on the Ubuntu sites (see above)
- Burn a cd a cd at lower speed your burning drive can do
- Insert the install cd in the pc cdrom drive
- Shutdown the pc.
- By checking/changing bios setting or pressing functions key at boot force the pc to entirely boot from the cd-rom
- Restart the pc and install Ubuntu.
