Since Upgrade to Gutsy, K3B is SLOW?

Ever since I upgraded to Gutsy from Feisty my K3B is really slow 1.2x, 1.5x on DVD burns. I used to get 8 12 or 16x depending on my choosing. Now even at 16x burning speed I get 1.2 or 1.6 overall burning speeds. If anyone knows why or can offer me some insight into this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Realising that "if it's not broken, don't fix it" seems to work in most cases. I have downgraded to K3B version 1.0.3 and everything is working as it was before the upgrade.
