Latest stable versions

When new stable version is released Ubuntu still uses old one. I suggest push every new stable to ubuntu.

Any ppa doesnt contain latest josm-tested (3966).

That cannot be done. Its not an automatic system, and cannot be.

Someone (the maintainer) has to sit there and make sure that the update actually builds a package, check the differences between the last package and this one are innocuous, ensure that there are no clashes with any other packages.

For non-PPA packages, the maintainer then proposes a version to the people (uploaders) who upload packages to the repository .

The uploaders also perform any checks they feel are needed, then sign and upload the package.

Automating this would be a bad Idea (TM). Any old joe could simply get a package into ubuntu then use it as a vehicle for malicious code (think google android's latest kerfuffle, where malicious users did exactly that because google didn't check anything, and the process was fully automatic).
