compiling problems with GtkCallbackMarshal

Asked by didgewind

hi there, sorry for bothering u about this, i'm sure it's very stupid. I'm trying to build jack-rack from source, so i downloaded packages jack-rack_1.4.7.orig.tar.gz and jack-rack_1.4.7-3.debian.tar.gz for natty. I don't know what's the latter one for, by the way. Anyway, after running ./autoconfigure.sh and ./configure, when running make it gives me errors about GtkCallbackMarshal. It is exactly the same error i was getting when using the source code from the main project's web page, so i guess it's something related to the file jack-rack_1.4.7-3.debian.tar.gz, but as i stated i don't know what to do with it.

so, any help would be greatly appreciated.

tx for your time.

It sounds like you have not used the debian build procedure, but instead are just building the tarball.

What you need to do is to follow a procedure like this one, where the build procedure outlined in debian/rules is followed, and any patches (such as in debian/patches) get applied as part of the build:

Can you help with this problem?
