Can we get a pull from upstream for IWD?
Asked by

I realize Ubuntu is not a rolling release, however, the version of IWD (Internet Wireless Daemon...a replacement for wpa_supplicant and others) is woefully out of date, in Ubuntu 22.04, 22.10, and Lunar dev branch. Could we get a pull from upstream to get the package back into sync with the current state of the project?
To my count, doing so would fix at least two iwd related bugs in the bug database:
- Add support for WPA 2 Enterprise.
- Fix network roaming issues across BSSIDs on mesh wifi networks.
At a miniumum, Lunar should be trying to integrate something closer to top of tree on iwd.
