Question about 1.8 in 12.10

Is there a chance that there will be Irrlicht 1.8 in quantal (12.10) repo? 1.8 brings some very interesting new features and some api changes, so it would be nice if it appear in repo before 13.04. Thanks!

If you report a bug it may get added sooner rather than later

Its not normal software to be updated unless its for a security or bug fix.

However, reporting a bug may get it updated sooner

Report a bug from at terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) with

ubuntu-bug irrlichit

Include details of what if any bug-fixes there are and what new features together with a link to the source.
