Indicator applet (network manager) does not work with F5 Networks VPN Adapter

In network manager (Ubuntu-14.04 gnome) one can configure the Cisco VPN client to directly connect via clicking the icon in the task bar and on establishment of the VPN connection a little lock appears. I'd very much like this to work also for the F5 Networks VPN Adapter. Is there a way of integrating this client in the same way as the Cisco client?
