HPLIP 2.8.10 in Intrepid

Well, this is more a n.ote than a question - however, it might be interesting:
Intrepid uses HPLIP 2.8.7. Myself and many of my friends bought HP photosmart printers recently (different models). Non of them worked in intrepid, until manually installing hplip 2.8.10.
We got all 4 models to work, 1 even not listed on the hplip homepage.
2.8.10 was a major release of hplip with added support for "tons" of printers and - in my opinion - should be included in intrepid as quick as possible. This will help many users of newer printers!
