Asked by Ronnie Boone

Want to use my laptop to print via gateway to my wireless printer. Add printer using
Other
   URI http://192.168.1.66

Set this printer as system default

As I print a Test Page, Printer State changes to Processing - Connected to Printer

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yes through TERMIAL SESSION I can ping 192.168.1.66
and I can even review the ink level in all 4 cartiages
the printer stats say connected. but I never see or hear the printer
taking any action.

If I use Windows Printer via SAMBA all is fine, but that requires my desktop to be up in order to print from my laptop which is Ubuntu 10.04. I would like to forget the desktop and go to the printer via wireless connect using my gateway

Grab the latest HPLIP from the site and install it, may help. You'll need to chmod it to make it executable and run it as user (not sudo), may help
