can I upgrade libhamlib2 1.2.14 to 1.2.15

I'm currently using Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneric Ocelot) and CQR Log 1.3.0. I want to upgrade to 1.3.1, but gdebi says I have to have libhamlib2 =>1.2.15 installed. I currently have libhamlib2 1.2.14 installed.

I know the 1.2.15 version is available in Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin). Can this file be used with Oneric as well?

No the packages are for Precise, you will get a big mess with deps and upgrades. If you find a PPA for Oneiric you may be able to install it that way

It would be nice if they were compatible, but they're not. I'll have a look for an Oneric PPA.
