help cant download music off of internet

hello i try to download music off the internet via limewire and it tell me i need to install a package and every time i try to install it my pc freezes and i have to reinstall ubuntu 7.10 is there any advice of what i can do so i can download music from the internet thank you for your help

Firstly there are many torrent apps available without using limewire - frostwire is the same as limewire apparently, you can get it from their website.

There are many in the repos - use synaptic to search for them.

Secondly - which package are you trying to install when the pc freezes and why are you having to reinstall - a bit more information would help I think.
