can't stop unwanted updates

By accident I clicked a user's icon in gwibber, now I get a notification every time they post on twitter even though I'm not following them. I noticed there is a monkey face icon dedicated to this person but I see no obvious method to get rid of it or to stop this person who is spamming people every 5 minutes and causing me unnecessary notifications. How can I turn it off or remove them?

if you want to get rid of that monkey face icon than you will first have to expand that monkey face column as max as possible by clicking on border, then you will see a X in front of the name which you can click to remove it.

Later you can click on t for twitter for normal messages,
