Gwibber: unfollowed items appear in notification area

Asked by quantenemitter

Hi there,
there is something strange going on with my gwibber. I'm using it for viewing twitter and facebook timelines.

To my setup on these accounts (which could be relevant): In _facebook_, a _twitter app_ is running but the _twitter_ tweets do not appear in gwibber's _facebook_ timeline (This is not my problem - I even like this behaviour).

What's the point then? Via twitter, I had been following a retweet bot (let's call it "bot"). I didn't like it and so I unfollowed it. As expected, the bot's tweets neither appear in twitter's web-timeline, facebook's twitter-timeline nor in the gwibber window any more.

_But_ the the bot's tweets still appear in gwibber's notification bubbles! That's unnerving.

You could really help me if you' had a clue what went wrong with my gwibber-twitter-facebook-setup.

Thank you!

Using ubuntu lucid, gwibber_2.30.0.1-0ubuntu1

Okay, i found the solution. Sorry for finding it out _after_ sending the question.

In gwibber, I still had a "channel" active which follows the bot. In my default window-setup, the symbol for the channel was hidden quite well and I even forgot that something like a "channel" even existed. I assume deleting the channel will help :)
