gwenview package

How to install plugins?

I am a new user to Linux. I have Ubuntu up and running but I noticed that Gwenview plugins were not included in the Ubuntu install, so I was wondering how to install them. I've looked around but found no place that has offered info on how to do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you install kipi-plugins? I believe this package also contains gwenview plugins.

Thanks for the tip. I now realize that kipi needs KDE and my system didn't seem to like KDE as long as I was using gnome so I have just switched to Kubuntu, which is Ubuntu with a KDE interface.

I now have some of the plugins and am going to look for how to install kipi-plugins.

I'll report back if I am successful.

I've just try to install kipi-plugins on my Gutsy box and got this -

Is that right it want's to instal 90MB of programs, including Postfix (the mailserver) and Konquerer (the browser) amongst a load of others so I can just edit the data in a EXIFs tags... Surely some mistake?

Sorry, my mistake. I was saying the package is there, which is true, though the version of gwenview in intrepid doesn't seem to know about kipi-plugins because the version of kipi-plugins in intrepid is a KDE3 version. Jaunty has a beta KDE4 version of kipi, but I haven't tried it.
