Nautilus mounts, how to access from applications?

Assume you connect to a network drive from nautilus, does not matter if this is ftp, smb, afp or whatever. Nautilus opens a window, place a symbol on the desktop and can access the share. Now start a application, does nit matter which application. Try to use this share from the application, you see that it did not exist. Not on the desktop, not on /media and not on /mnt.
Howto access open nautilus gvfs shares from applications?
