Ubuntu won't boot after install
Asked by

I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 onto an IDE hard drive (250Gb). This is the only OS on the computer. I installed from a USB flash drive and used the default settings. The installation went through with no issues. Now, when I turn on my computer it will go through the POST and everything. It sees the IDE drive installed and right after that it goes to a blank screen with a flash cursor in the top left corner. If I put the USB flash drive I installed from back into the computer Ubuntu will boot up with no problems (and it doesn't boot the trial Ubuntu, it boots the Ubuntu that has my desktop and everything set up).
