ubuntu Kububtu and windows a drive issue, need to give back windows more space

Hi,

I need to either remove ubuntu, actually Kubuntu from this windows xp PC, or I need to know how to give windows back some space on the drive. I have only 2GB left on my windows partition. I have kubuntu on my newer desktop, so I would like to remove it from this one, or give windows back some space.

I noticed I have 3 ext drives in kubuntu, maybe from reinstalls or something.

Can someone give me instructions on how to do either of these things? To remove it or give windows back some drive space. I do not remember how to get to the drives.

If you create a liveCD you can alter your partition sizes using the "gparted" program.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD

Note that you need to run from the liveCD, so that your partition is not in use when you try to resize it.

Oh, one more point. If you make a mistake when you partition, it is theoretically possible to lose data. If you have important files, it might be worth keeping the files you consider most important off the disk that is being partitioned and somewhere safe, like a CD, a USB drive or a separate computer.
