how do i partition my disk. i'm trying to install windows 7 onto my ubuntu 10.10

i am unable to boot windows 7 when i insert the boot disk. and when i press F10 and boot that way, the OS tries to load but it says that i am missing the correct drivers necessary to load windows 7. when i insert my original recovery disk the ubuntu does not recognize it. what am i doing wrong?

to partition your hard drive, you have to boot off your live cd/usb and use gparted.

it sounds like you have a bootlegged copy of windoze 7.
