gparted package

increase size boot partition

I am attempting to upgrade to v. 10 LTS and have received a notice that /boot needs 15.7MB additional or the
upgrade cannot proceed. I used sudo apt-get clean, emptied my trash and used the computer janitor to offload
unused/dated packages. However, I now need to increase the size of the /boot partition. Please point me in
the right direction.

I have a logical volume and gparted does not support size changes for it

GParted can’t be used while the partition is mounted, i. e. if it is the one the system you are using right now is on.

You just have to use an Ubuntu live CD and run GParted from there to be able to resize the partition.

Most of Ubuntu's people don't use LVM, but LVM is default to Fedora distribution. So it will probably more efficient to ask help at:
http://fedoraforum.org/
