no photos in panoramio google earth/ubuntu 11.10

When I click on panoramio photos in google earth all I get is a blank photo space (white background )when I double click it then opens photo in my browser (Firefox),strange thing is when I first start to use google earth the first few clicks of small blue panoramio squares on google earth the photos immediately open then it seems to go on strike,has any one any ideas please.

i haven't been able to get street view or photos for a couple of days. i suspect it's a problem at google's end

I am assuming it is the latest Google Earth actionparsnip,I installed it via terminal from ubuntu instructions on google .

I suggest you go to the google earth site and make sure it is the latest. You could also report a bug. It is a proprietary piece of software so the ubuntu devs will not be fixing this, it will be google.
