The available Gnumeric Spreadsheet in Ubuntu Software Centre is too old

The Gnumeric Spreadsheet version available in the Ubuntu Software Centre and through the Synaptic Package Manager has the version number 1.10.17-1ubuntu2 whereas the latest stable version available through Gnumeric's webpage is 1.12.1. I'm using this programme (the 1.10.17-1 version) extensively and therefore I urge you to make a much more recent version available.

So I suggest installing Ubuntu 13.04 when it is released.

Scheduled release date is April 25.

Then you will be able to install gnumeric 1.12.1 via the 'universe' Ubuntu repository.
