how to install gnomebaker tar.gz*

i want to install gnomebakaker instead basero that full of bug.
but gnomebaker has only tar.gz file i hate this ---a file from hell should go away---
i want to install them but i don't know anything.
please tell me step by step. i use to find the means from internet but not helpful.
please make me enlighten thank you.

The file you have is SOURCE CODE. You can use it to compile the app if you want.

If you want gnomebaker then use software centre like you would for any other application. Or in a terminal, run:

sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install gnomebaker

And it will install.

gnomebaker is no more into standard repositories in Ubuntu 12.04 you need a ppa to install it...

no gnomebaker in ubuntu software centre and i want to compile other programs not only gnomebaker

If you install build-essential you will get a decent compiling suite
