gnomebaker is not working for me

Asked by Byron Washington

I have ubuntu 11. I am trying to burn a .avi movie to a blank DVD using gnomebaker. When I start the process, before it starts the burn, it ejects the dvd and gives me an error message: :-( /dev/sr0: media is not recognized as recordable DVD: 8
Im new to the Ubuntu world so Im not sure if it means the dvd or the dvd burner. I need an explanation.

I have ubuntu installed in Vbox and win7 is my host OS. I dont know if that will make a difference.

Should be ok, does the CD drive config in virtualbox allow for DVD Writing to happen?

Is the CD drive marked as 'passthrough'?
