If you are looking for a good dictionary try StarDict. You can install StarDict through repos. Then you can go here and install all the dictionaries you want. http://stardict.sourceforge.net/ You will have to look around to find what you want but here is one - German to English - http://stardict.sourceforge.net/Dictionaries_dictd-www.freedict.de.php
