Feature request: single-line scrolling

Asked by Matthew

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Would you be able to implement scrolling in single-line increments as opposed to just pages, please? Konsole uses shift-up and shift-down to do this and I find it very useful. Thank you.

Thanks! In that case the manual just needs updating:

http://library.gnome.org/users/gnome-terminal/stable/gnome-terminal-usage.html.en_GB#gnome-terminal-contents:

"To scroll through previous commands and output:

    Perform one of the following actions:

        * Use the scrollbar, which is usually displayed on the right of the terminal window.
        * Press the Shift+Page Up, Shift+Page Down, Shift+Home, or Shift+End keys.

    The number of lines that you can scroll back to in the terminal window is determined by the Scrollback setting in the Scrolling tabbed section of the Editing Profile dialogue."

I believe that would be something you would need to take up with the gnome people.. Closing this bug as invalid.
