when typing a cprogram in the vi editor arrow keys backspace doent work

when i use the vi editor to type c programs..
the arrow keys don't work they give some garbage value..
even the back space key doesn't work

Remove vim-tiny, and reinstalled vim to resolve it.

Thanxs WOJOX,my problem is solved and that was the only problem I was having with Ubuntu except installation of KDevelop. Hope will succeed in doing dat too. Thanks again.
