i've installed synfig on my computer but when i click on it ,it doesnot open

in the add or remove application i added synfig
and in gnome terminal i installed synfig
burtwhen i click on it ,it doesnot open
and when i try to build up synfig in the terminal it is written synfig [DEFAULT OPTIONS] ([SIF FILE] [SPECIFIC OPTIONS])...

 --help Print out usage and syntax info
and syntax error near unexpected token `('
what should i do ?

synfig is a command line program. I never used it but it seems to have to write an input (SIF) file and then run something like "synfig youfile.sif", maybe yopu neeed some options.

The package synfigstudio provides a graphical interface for synfig. Maybe you want to used that instead.
