tried to load limewire

Asked by b

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

tried to load limewire but it froze. when i tried again i got an error message saying to close other file managers.
when tried synaptic it gives a message to 'dpkg --configure -a'

and when I try to do this in terminal it says that it needs superuser privilege, whatever that is.
This is my first foray into Linux on a spare sony vaio PCG-TR3A. Thank you. b.
I'm using 7.10

Hello !

To get superuser privileges, you have to put a "sudo" before your command. In this case : "sudo dpkg --configure -a". It will ask your user's password and then go on.

Hope this helps !

regards,
Benoît
